Often parents decide on using a pharmaceutical approach to dealing with complaints raised from schools, and difficulties they face in the home/community. 

There are alternatives and although time consuming they can be extremely beneficial.

These alternatives involve using ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) within the child's natural environment (home, school, and community).  This type of approach involves making modifications to child-parent/teacher interactions, and the physical/social environments encountered by the individual.
